Horta are you seriously saying the USC never declared war on Ethiopia? They sure didn't do it in their first month in power but they did it in their last few weeks in Power and that brought forth ethiopia to come in and aid the Somali Government to force these incompetent bunch out of power.

Ur forgetting the internationally recognized government for that country specifically requested the presence of that foreign countries troops...not in a militarily offensive role, but strictly for defensive purposes. The upstart TFG was confined to Baydhabo, and so the Ethiopians were restricted to that region until they were given an excuse to occupy the capital. No threats were verbally made in July 06, but the rise to power of a grassroots political organization automatically implied a threat to the governance of the TFG, so they reacted accordingly and called in reinforcements should they be attacked, far removed from the capital. The Ethiopians later used Indhacade's ultimatum for complete withdrawal or "jihad" (which in and of itself was retarded in a post-9/11 climate) as an excuse to roll the tanks into Xamar under the guise of "defending their territorial integrity"

Actually I don't recall even the TFG asking for them in July of 2006, which they didn't.

Once u send ur troops into another country u have declared war. Baydhabo is not Ethiopia, there is no reason Ethiopian troops should be there.

U can make all ur excuses but the fact of the matter is Ethiopia invaded without Yusuf Siad saying anything.

The TFG might not have publically said they requested Ethiopia come to strengthen them in Baydhabo at first, but it was obvious they were fragile and didn't have the resources to defend themselves...and since Ethiopia was their biggest ally, it ain't hard to put two and two together...especially since the TFG never opposed their arrival so that indicates their support and agreement with Ethiopia's presence. Either way bro, they said they would only intervene militarily if Baydhabo was attacked, until Yusuf Indhacade welcomed them with open arms. You have to understand, regardless of Ethiopia's intentions, they needed some legitimacy to be where they wanted in Somalia overtly and the ICU gave it to them.

For the record, I don't support the TFG, Al-Shabaab or any group in Somalia right now...so I ain't defending anybody, just setting records straight.

Its good to see u don't support the TFG anymore. Now the fact still remains, Ethiopia invaded Somalia long before Yusuf Siad said anything. They invaded in July of 2006, the courts had control of Mogadishu for an entire month when they invaded sending troops. Yusuf Siad was mute then. No one threatened Ethiopia so the fact is Ethiopia attacked Somalia not ICU attacked Ethiopia. Last I checked Baydhabo is in Somalia, not Ethiopia, and when u send ur troops to a different country that is an act of war.We can speak of what Yusuf Siad said all day long but the fact is Ethiopia sent troops long before he spoke, so whatever he said no matter how stupid, was legit, as they invaded his country, he did not invade theirs.
