Again, congrats to the pirates for a job well done. No weapons should ever reach South Sudan

The tanks were destined for South Sudan and not Kenya. So much thanks to the pirates for seizing the weapons, I hope they can offload the weapons and give them to the Al-Shabab militia.

Now the pirates can say they are helping the UN enforce the arms embargo enforced in war-torn African nations.
....they just have to prove the end destination was South Sudan.

LOL like the pirates care or know about the destination of these ships or their mission. Either way, they did good.
Re: I now support what the Pirates have done :)
Well, there is enough tank ordinance on that ship to booby trap it and sink it if they wanted to

The Somali Coast Guard Intelligence unit had received information that there was an arms shipment to South Sudan so they took it upon themselves to intercept the illegal arms shipment.
Re: I now support what the Pirates have done :)
The Somali Coast Guard Intelligence Unit has assessed the Ukranian vessel a fine of $35 million (USD) for violating the arms embargo. The Somali Coast Guard Intelligence Unit is considering dropping that fine to $20 due to the fact that this is the first violation by this ship.

Since the Americans let loose the ship (they could have escorted to Mombasa) and tolerate the pirates (a deal with Puntland) and turn a blind eye to their activities, what kind of message are they trying to send to Omer Al-Bashir by setting up the whole sting?
