I can't help the fact that you people do not look into Islam. Why do you think the most successful countries by Muslim population are moderate and educated? People half the other countries including Somalia are full of fakes, who do not know anything about their religion and use the hadith as a source of inspiration instead of the Qur'an.

You have observed or met a few ultra secular/liberal Turks, and come to the conclusion that Turks hate Islam? I suggest that you visit Turkey, as it's one of the most affordable (air ticket, hotel, transportation) destination in the Middle East. Should you go, don't confine your visit to Istanbul; visit at a few other cities and towns (especially those close to the Syrian border). I know a few and have met many Turks; they're as good as other Muslims.
