The Definition of Sayid as in "Sayid Maxamed"

Post by Ahmed-Gurey »

(a) Muslims who claim to be the descendents of Prophet Maxamed (PBUH)

This above definition is the exact words of a book I picked from a book store while reviewing its contents. I think the title was "Mughal Empire" So Sayid Mohamed used to claim that he was the descendents of prophet Mohamed Salalahu caleyhi wasalam.

Sayid's homosexuality leaves a lot to be desired. Did anybody read when he said ' Waa niman candhada laga maro blah blah'. Only a grade homo would mention other men's private parts

Nobody is questioning his bravery, we are just surprised a hardened Muslim like him would comment on other men's private parts.

This thread is to be educational, not a platform for cyber zealots. Why do you have to belittle each other all the time?

http://www.answers.com/topic/sayyid

There are two definitions. It can be a descendant of the Prophet, or any male dignitary. It is from the Arabic "sada", to become chief.

My landlord's name was Sayid Cali. He told me it was his given name and meant "Mister" or "master".
