Buhoodle-girl, here is a rough part.

Sagaal ninoo walaala sideenaas
Sideed isku bah tahey sidiinaas
Ninkuna Bahgaar yahey sideydaas
Hadeynu isa sirin sideedanaba

Sayid is derived from Asyaad. You explained it well but keep in mind the derivation of the word.

if you looking the word meeans in dictionarry came from sa ya da.
for examle we say in arabic : rajol sayid beytah. means he is head of his house.

for respect we address people: ya sayid: sayid hebel hebel.
the woman we call sayida haliimo, aliya whatever her name.
just respectful way to address people and that's in original arabic.

aslo sayid bani mura, sayid bani khalid etc. which is cheif or the leader of certain people, qabiil , region etc.

Here's a whole book on the Yemeni Sayyids. In Arabic they are called "Sana".
