First of all social inequality is universal and it exists in very single society no matter how small. In considering the fact its universal and that in each society the more powerful control everyone else, isn't also true that the poor will always be poor and that the rich will always be rich. Yes! the individucal can can work hard and finally make it to the higher class, but isnt true that society as a whole will always stay the same, and the over all structure of classes and thier relations will remain unchanged???
My friends tend to be very idealistic and believe that in a few years the world could be utopia in that the both races blacks and whites will grow to have the same stature!!!
realistically speaking, I say the rich will grow rich and the poor will grow poor! and white people will always be a step ahead of us!!! is this not true or theoratically correct???
not really no Gacalisa.
first of all there will always be class conflict between the rich and poor. yes you right on that, between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. from early stages to modern world it has always been like that. the two will always have conflict about who is in control and who has the last say. and as always, its the rich, white, men.
but for me personally i always look things in three aspects. somali tridition veiw, western's and the islamic veiw of class conflict. and the conclusion always leads me to the islamic veiw point.
in islam it says that the idea of class conflict is some what wrong, and that we should share wealth, means of production, even ideas together. the rich shouldnt leave the poor behind, and should share whatever they have.
now realistically speaking we all know that doesnt happened, esp. in muslim countries. like dubai and the Saudi. were there's a massive gap between the rich and the poor. and the poor are not even given a chance to become rich.
but there's always a light at the end of the tunnel for the muslim ones as they will have the last say. as the last empire of the world will be islam and they even enter heaven before their rich muslim brothers. was it 50, 000 years before the rich ones.?
other than religion, if people dont get off from their fatt as.s and work how the heck are the going to complain about social inequality?if you need a change, be that change. simple as!!
but the whole "..and white people will always be a step ahead of us!!" is somewhat laughable.
you know what i always ask my self..where was our ancestors when The Scramble for Africa begun? (the Berlin Conference 1885). when a white man ( Otto von Bismarck, German Chancellor) decided to draw lines between the map of Africa, and gave the continent away to his sons, brothers, friends, lovers and unties. when he decided Africa is a present from him to he's European Family..where was our ancestors.???
i sometimes blame ourselves for having a hardtime.

nobody is to blame for africa's present problems but the africans themselves.
Potentially what we might see in the next decade is a slow but momentous change in de-constructing existing structures that are congenitally unequal. If we look at british history, most changes made were unintentionally produced due to its time. But like NoAngst. said countries that do choose to be build egalitarian society is definitly a political choice. A brave one nonetheless. But to answer your last question, yes, the gap between the rich and the poor are widening, but this intended polarization between the two groups will narrow as months unfold, esp. in the light of the world political climate.
