Skippa, i was a wake and was lying in my bed, i got use to read quran in hearable voice until i fall sleep.
my mother came to my room asking me to trun off the light and sleep, because ive to wake up early fopr fajir. i told her okay.
there come two youth, i could swear they were beween 15 -17 years old with white normal dashdasha we dress here, they start laughing at me and pointing fingers at me, to intrupt me from reading quran.
i started reading louder and louder and one of them set on my chest.
i had hart time to breath but kept reading quran, until this older guy with beard came and they laughed and left. then the older guy look at me and said: dont worry about them, they are eyaal sooq. and told me to not talk to them or bother talkaing to them.
he sounds apologizing.
he left and i got up and turn off the lights and close my room's door and slept.

i told my father in the fajir prayer and he said: dont worry, they cannot do anything , illa be ithni Allah.

ps; imazing thing is i wasnt scared or anything.

Yes, do forgive me Sir, I read your colourful Latin and understood it clearly, but once I started reading the non-sense people wrote about possessions, ( I know the whole purpose of the thread( I remembered Somali folktales, idiotic superstitions Somali sheekos. Harmless and false, but jinn stories that should be in that same category are told with a 'Islamic' fallacious 'truth' tone, and everyone stupefied claim 'SubxanAllah' 'Wala xaola wala quwaatii'! and every other Islamic heightening phrase they know. If they didn't invoke the diin and Ilahay I wouldn't mind so much.

Belief in the world of the unseen (al-Ghayb) is an important aspect of our iman, in fact it is the strongest and highest form of Twhid. Therefore all Muslims are obligated to believe in the existence of jinn, angels etc. What, however, remains contentious is the degree to which they influence the human world. And that my friend is where I draw the line. Our culture is riddled with misfortune, as nomads of an illiterate and sufistic background elicit explanations for misfortune, especially for sickness has been offered by uneducated superstition elders, who more than often claim to perform 'miracles'. Most people can't even distinguish between Satan and Jinn. But thats ok because neither of them are described in the Qur'an or hadith to a great extent. Now I am a storng upholder of rationality, so if jinn, a clearly more powerful being, could influence us physically, emotionally or whatever other state, wouldn't Allah opt to mention it?

This is one of those areas people need to distinguish between Islam and culture.

So all those places where ignorant deluded so called Shiekhs physical abuse and torture mentally challenged and psychiatric people need to be closed down. And they need to be educated.
