Arsenal v Man U...Who won?

Post by 1_londoner »

Muhahahaha. YES, THATS RIGHT...THE MIGHTY GOONERS CAME OUT ON TOP! 2-1 BABY :D
Despite everyone critizing the gooners left, right and centre they produced the kind of display which shows that they really are title contenders. Fantastic attacking footie by both sides but arsenal were by FAAAAAAAAR the better team....neville needs to hurry up and retire... ..he played disgustingly bad....im pretty sure united fans were cheerring when he was subbed....

i missed the game man, why'd you spoil it for me

Just kidding, but i was mad angry when i saw nevilles name on the team sheet. Arsenal played well, united play ok. But arsenal can beat the top four all they want but its worth nothing when they lose to hull, wigan or stoke the following weekend.

Why the fock did neville play, when da silva (prospect and a half) was on the bench. Also the amount of clear chances united had was ridiculous.

Bendtner is an awful player and arsenal lack the consistency to win the league. 4-2 up against spurs with 4 mins going and they couldnt hold the lead, furthemore 2 delap throws and arsenal fold. United still got a game in hand and will leap arsenal next week. Also united have played chelsea, arsenal, liverpool and pompey away, all in the first 11 games, so dont read into league standings too much.

Nobleman, our injury ravaged squad still manged to beat man u while they had everyone. Arsenal were in rubbish form going into this match...yeah we throw away a two-goal lead against Spurs then lost 2-1 at Stoke and then were held 0-0 at home by Fenerbahce (who we destroyed away)...while United were going 10 games unbeaten in all competitions. Stats were againts us all right...but as arsenal are a team that responds so well to criterzism im sure they will do well if the media and other sour bunch of sore losers are still on their back... :)

Wale when we lost almunia and united got the goal back i was crapping myself...couldnt watch the last few minutes.... 6 freakin' minutes of injury time....wale im sure tht 4th offical wanted us to lose... :x

injury ravaged, but arsenal are known for playing well in big games against united, but true champions do that week in week out. Young guns are awesome, easy on the eye, laakin the lack consistency and discpline, marks of great champions.

United are missing the most important and key player of all, mr united him self, paul scholes. Were a different outfit when he is there.

United still have a game in hand, against fulham. Arsenal can beat any team on any given day laakin consistency over a whole season is key. Nasri was far from man of the match. Clichy was superb even though he handled the ball and a penalty should of been given. United had an off day and will probably go the next 10 games unbeaten. Arsenal will finish empty handed for the 4th or 5th season running. Beautiful football, but its results that count.

2bh, arsenal fell when we lost a leader, gallas' antics @ brimingham last season practically destroyed all hopes of winning anything. ever since then the gooners were not the same. laakiin gallas' leadership y-day was very good and this also showed in his performance. if arsenal sort out their defence and get a decent holding midfielder, im sure their be rolling in the silverware at the end of the season and thus prove all the haters wrong.... 8)

Londoner,

My fellow gunner, You are full of hope, but the reality is Arsenal can't sustain a serious tittle challenge, due to their lack of depth and their lack of consistency. Can you believe they lost to some sh1t teams like(Stoke, Hull and Fullham), but won against some quality teams like Manure and West Ham? Until we improve our depth and be consistent like in 2004, we won't be close to winning the league, espeically now that Chelsea is in full swing, and manure will pick steam just in time before the end of December

Our best hope is to focus on the Champions league which is achievable, and the Fa cup, which were more than capable to win it
