if a muslim is in a situation of requirng a transplant, he or she is allowed to go under the procedure and save their lives, ask urself, where do the organs come from? people donate it. islam is a practical and logical religion. the deceased will decay in the grave.

Kolombo

Thans for the link will definately check it out but i need concrete evidence from the Quran regarding this issue. This was the Topic tonight at my Mosque and both sides had very convincing arguments. This why I Love Islam, we strive to question everything and challenge ourselves. I think as i grow each day i become more Religious.

Posh Spice, why don't you just ask your parents to buy a donor for whoever is in need.

All I know is I'm not donating anything! Especially not in this sick world I live in. Ilaahay waxaan ka baryayaa in aan wadankan ku dhiman!
KA,
I wouldn't recommend you do that. Even though you might be dead, meeydkaaga wuu xanuusan! and it will be even more painful if u were missing ur organs!
btw waxaa lagu yiri wixii shaki leh ka tag, culimada hadii ee isku heeystaan arintan waa in aad iskaga tagtaa.

Organs are big bussiness and next time you go to hospital for an Ingrown toenail the chaces of you coming out with all your part are slim!
Ps...keep away from Ealing hospital as well as charing cross hospital. Faraxs have been known to go in for a minore treatment and come with a kidney missing.

If organ donation is haram, is it also haram to receive organs?

Re: A Question For The Wadaad's?
is blood transfusion haram? no. do somalis donate blood? not many. ashlee is right, it is ok to receive organs and therfore halal to donate it, unless u ask a sheikh out of touch with the modern world and technology and is stuck to his old cultural viewpoint.
Re: A Question For The Wadaad's?
I didnt need any islamic scholar to convince me that organ donation is not only Not haram, but could get you a big reward from Allah, since your intention is to save a life.
Anyways, the link provided by muslim 0 is good for those who have doubts..I just read it and it made sense to me.
