James,

Are you crazy?

Gurriceel and Hiiraan under the puppet rule?

Are you kidding me?????????

Correct that man...Hiiraan is under control of the resistance with some occupation in Jawiil. Guriceel is also under control of the locals.

Last I heard a government-aligned militia had taken over.
North of Beledweyne is Ethiopian-controlled as far as I know as well.

I think they're trying to carve a corridor from Gedo through north Bay, Bakool, Hiraan and Galgadud to the border of Galmudug as a buffer and including Baidoa. Their first phase, linking up Baidoa with Gedo, failed when they failed to take Diinsoor, but they succeeded in taking Gedo and have made slow progress in Galgadud.

The UIC will take at least a month or two to get Mogadishu back in order, and then things will change rather quickly.

The Ethiopians have an easy time controlling Hiraan and Gedo because of the highway, and they've clustered their remaining forces there.

Ethiopia redeploys its troops along the new border corridor, securing the previously vulnerable and, in my opinion, largely UIC controlled swathe of territory in northern Bay and Bakool. Bardaale is reoccupied by the ex-Mogadishu contingent, thus securing the supply corridor to Ethiopia for Baydhabo. Ethiopia has essentially decided that it's own security, and the parliament seat, was more important that Mogadishu. We have essentially returned to December 2006, except that the TFG/Ethiopia now control a strip of territory in central Somalia, and the UIC now controls Bardhere.

for alshabab, include the borders towns inside kenya, too - most of their camps are located around that area.

Concerning somaliland all the places in which voter registration took place are marked puntland control, the only significant puntland presence was in Laas Canood. There is absoltutely no reason to label any area under puntland that is within somaliland's historical boundaries. Even if this is more based on tribal sentiments, large junks labeled puntland multiclan grazing area, for example besides liqaye mentioned hj graze all the way to badhan and xudun is solidly multiclan hy, hj, dhulbahante are permanent in that region. James correction is in order, label the area anything besides puntland.

Actually they are labeled as Northland at the moment, not Puntland, and didn't they open fire on voter registration people in those areas?

Somaliland's made big progress in winning over the Dulbahante lately, but I'd say it's pretty early still, Somaliland conquered Las Anod not very long ago, and most Dulbahante Elders are still totally anti-Somaliland.

We are not color blind we can see the map is color coded? Thank you for noticing the progress with dhulbahante but ur map is still wrong, puntland color extends into a large junk of somaliland.

It is colour coded but grey doesn't stand for Puntland, it stands for unaligned. The dark grey borders still denote state or faction borders.
There's even a little legend that tells you this, if you bothered to read it.

James its damn outright lie, the grey clearly corresponds to puntland territorial claims and what is nuetral or unligned about this region anyways? please don't try to answer that, I know it will be just another dishonest drivel, either that or ur hopelessly confused dyslexic guy we should take a pity.

So keep at it, we don't mind it when its out in the open.

Listen man, I'm not going to debate the Sool/Sanaag/Cayn territorial dispute with you.
Go find some other idiot to argue with over on the other side of the aisle. I'm sure Somali Boqor or some other Puntland partisan will be happy to trade barbs and propaganda with you.
