Seriously I have lived in London for ever, but have traveled to many parts of the world and have never met any decent Somali men – and I‘m expected to be married by a particular age or I’m a spinster!!!!!!!!!!
There are a few categories of Somali men who I seem to meet in passing over and over –
‘The Dead Beat’ – He claims that society stops him from achieving, and the world is to blame for all his miss fortunes. His dreams remain dreams and all his does is try to convince himself and others around him to believe that he is going to do better some day, if society changes …
‘The Player’ – Nothing is serious, he is quite devious and shallow and life is a game to which we are all but mere pawns.
‘The Farax’ – ‘Just wanna hang with my mates!’ mentality... Chew all night and doze all day – but doesn’t fail to wake up so that he can sign on.
There are others that are other worth elaborating as they speak for them selves:
‘Jail birds’,
‘Should be sectioned’
‘Married men’
Etc….May be I don’t go to the right places, may I have met all the wrong ones? – unfortunately most other women that I know have had similar experiences?
So are there any decent Somali men, is there any point still keeping the faith alive or is there no point looking????
