Somaliweyn's view on current situation: Mogadishu/Somalia

Post by Somaliweyn »

As a consequence of Murax's topic:

viewtopic.php?f=250&t=198733

I will present my view towards the current situation in Somalia.

First,

the ''central government''

Not much has changed, foreign powers still control the process of creating a ''central government'' for Somalia. The process of foreign-held conferences in which individuals are elected by a group of self-styled MPs hasn;t changed.

Sh.Shariif is a respectable man, I have opposed him always on principles and not on his character, integrity and capabilities.

He is an individual who wants to bring change from within the system. I am very sceptical about the possibility of bringing change from within the system, I rather have the system to be destroyed and replaced by a new one.

Second,

The radical religious warlord factions: Xisbi Islam and Alshabaab.

It has become apparent to all that the above two factions had other intentions (hunger for political power) then the usual propaganda of ''Islamic Law for Somalia and struggle against Ethiopians/puppets''.

If they really wanted to have ''Islamic Law for Somalia'' they would have negotiated with their ex-comrade Sh.Shariif and collaborated with him to bring about peace and stability in the nation and rule by Islamic Law.

If they really wanted to wage an armed struggle against Ethiopians and their puppets they would have gone to border-area's were Ethiopians come and go as they please. Also, if they really wanted to wage an armed struggle against Ethiopians they would not limit themselves to Southern-Somalia but would have gone to North-Somalia as well, which the Ethiopians have influence in too.

So, these radical religious warlord factions should be given an ultimatum: either leave Mogadishu and dont prolong the conflict in the city or face the consequences.

They should be defeated if they start any war.

Third,

The Ethiopians.

They are still in Somalia, like in border-area's (Jawiil-Hiiraan, Doolow-Gedo etc). They are also hosting and arming warlords to wreck havoc in Somalia.

The only way to defeat them is to follow a DUAL-STRATEGY. On one side (1), we should defend ourselves from Ethiopian incursions to bring back the warlords/traitors, on the Other side (2) we need to solve the problems of anarchy, and work towards peace, stability, development. Both parts are crucial, if we fail in accomplishing 1, then the door is open for EThiopian tanks with Somali warlords/traitors on top to roll in our cities and inflict terrible pain on us again. If we fail in part 2, we will not be able to solve the problems of anarchy (animosity, division, mistrust, clannism) and thus the warlords/traitors/opportunists will have always fertile environment in which they can emerge and cause havoc.

Fourth,

Somali people and regions need space and time to initiate the process of regional institutional building.

There are already Somaliland (Northwestern province of Somalia), Puntland (Northeastern province of Somalia), Galmudug (Central province), Maakhir

The other regions: Banadir, Hiiraan, Galgaduud, SSC, Awdal, Jubbaland, Baay/Bakool need to be stabilized in order for regional administrations to arise.

These remaining regions should create their unique model of regional administration which will be more oriented towards the Somali interest and security. Unlike secessionist agenda Somaliland took, and the defacto state agenda Puntland took, these regions need to have regional administration that take care of the regions and their inhabitants without eroding the territorial integrity or the sovereignty of the Republic of Somalia.

But first lets focus on opposing all groups which will obstruct point 4.

Just like an a'ss hole everybody is got one.

Your Opinion that is.

Ps...your argument does not deserve the time of God fearing individuals that believe in Madaxweynaha Cusub...Shaikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
