Awkward situation - Djibouti minister & the boys from london

Post by Executive »

I was watching Universal TV and saw a few familar faces. They finally decided to show the team of Somali youth from the UK who went to Djibouti with the Somali Olympic Committee. It was some sort of Ministry of Sports initiative to engage with the somali sports community....

The had dinner with Ismail Cumar, and at the end of the dinner they all stood in a line, for some reason they were meant to shake hands with a young Djibouti govt offical(probably the minister of sports). She shook hands with the coaches first, and as she approached the players she looked surprised and stupid after going past them one by one and reaching out her hand while they crossed their hands or just stepped back.

In our culture its not ceeb to shake hands with the opposite sex, but islamically it is wrong.

Good gesture guys
