MOGADISHU (Mareeg)--Al-Shabab militants have beheaded a local clan militiaman after fighting between local militias and al-Shabab near Jamame district in Middle Jubba region in southern Somalia, witnesses said on Monday.
Two combatants of the two warring sides were killed and another one was injured in fighting between al-Shabab and clan local militias in Bulo Ba’ad Village near Jamame on Sunday.
Residents said al-shabab beheaded one of the militias they fought in the area and put his head in a public place. They made the people in the town to watch the head while addressing to the people.

Sheik Ahmedey, an al-Shabab official in the town of Jamame confirmed to the reporters that they beheaded the man and put his head in public to intimidate the other militias who may try to oppose of their administration.
Al-Shabab controls many towns of southern Somalia and fighting against the Somali government led by President Sharif Sheik Ahmed.
