Badhan really is shaping up, I dont know the name of that bush but a lot of urban planning including planting is needed throughout sanaag towns and villages. Badhan remains under the radar and it'll become one of Northern SOmalias fasting growing towns soon.

Is Badhan the biggest city in Sanaag? I always thought Las Qorey, because of its famous name, was the largest city in the region. What about Ceerigaabo? How big is it comapared to Laas Qorey and Badhan?

Laas Qoray is a ancient historical city which was the jewel of the early Warsangeli Kingdom. After the power struggle in 92 and the mass massacre of civilians by Islamists majority of its merchants fleed and left for Bosaaso. Reducing the town to 1/5th of what it was before the civil war. The largest city thanks to Somalias civil war is Badhan, after the war refugees from Souther Somalia returned to their ancestral land and settled in Badhan. Also many who left from other parts of Waaqoyi resettled there or there ancestral lands in Maakhir. LQ is a clan town, Adaan Siciid and has about 10/15,000 of them no one really lives there except them. Badhan is more muti-clan Cawrmaale, Cumar, Bah Majarteen, Dubays and even Ogasalbe. Badhan went from a small Cumar village to the largest city in Sanaag. Ceerigabo and Hadaaftimo are around the same numbers in population but Ceerigabo was the capital of Sanaag so little resources went to them during Somalia. Ceerigabo and Hadaaftimo are around 30/35 thousand people respectively but Hadaaftimo is exclusively Cumar again where Ceerigabo has some foreign migrants in the Western area of the town. Badhan is 3 times the size of Ceerigabo and Hadaaftimo.

Damn Badhan is huge. I had no idea it had a population of 90,000-105,000.. What about Dhahar? Is it even in Sanaag?

Dhahar is the third largest city in Sanaag after Badhan and Ceerigaabo.
