hold your horses guys - if all out war breaks, 99% of the dead and injured will be innocent civilians and when the going gets tough it will turn into qabil war. that's Somalia's cycle of vilolence.

Another note: The African troops inherited this evil act of bombarding the whole city when provoked from their Ethiopian predecessor and the government doesn't say anything when civilians are killed by these indiscriminate shells. Isn't this a double standard? Were the Ethiopian shells worse than the other Africans' ?

It is a sad state of affairs. I remember hearing from my eedo how her entire neighborhood had stayed out of the fracas in Xamar by being neutral. However, there would be teams of Shabab who would infiltrate the neighbhorhood and shot mortars at Ethiopian/TFG/AMISOM positions so as to provoke a response which would cause people to get killed/flee the area and join the Shabab movement.

On several occasions, those Shabab mortar teams were killed by the residents who did not want to be caught in the crossfire.

No, its those who launch the attacks that are the ones ultimately responsible for the carnage. They realize their attacks will create a response that will harm the people in those areas they launch their attacks.

AMISOM are nothing like the Ethiopians. They provide security, and medical assistance to hundreds of Somalis everyday. AMISOM does not go around detaining thousands of Somalis, torturing them and killing them like the EThiopians.

The Insurgents are waging a campaign to turn the public against Amisom by provoking Amisom to respond to their attacks.

They fire mortars as a provocative action and wants the amisom to throw back which will kill innocent mogadishusians.
So how many times amisom might kill somalis,i blame it first on alxaaram because they are the ones who throw mortars from residential areas and run away fast afterwards.
