What do you meant they "distorted" what the shiikhs said? Are you saying they manipulated their poisonous sermons like doctoring the actual tapes or blackmailing them?

I watched the program and what those shiikhs said were unacceptable and no equivocation will suffice. I even watched the response from Sh. Usama (the 30 minute version on youtube) and he didn't even renounce what he said merely rationalized his hatred by appealing to religion. in other words, it is his religion that informs his views. perhaps the BNP should start using Christianity or some other made up religion to further their bigotry and xenophobia.

If you don't categorically condemn those shiikhs and their views, you agree with what they said.

This is why people go "undercover" because some muslims like yourself are blatant, two faced liars. First, it was the West Midlands Police. Second, it is true that the W.M. police did urge Ofcam to investigate Dispatches to the astonishment of all sane people in the world. but what came of it? well, Dispatches sued for libel and won 100,000 pounds. On top of that, Dispatches got unequivocal apology from the W.M.police " We accept, without reservation, the conclusions of Ofcom and apologise to the programme makers for the damage and distress caused by our original press release." Moreover, the Ofcom (regulator) said the following after investigating the matter: "[Dispatches] accurately represented the material it had gathered and dealt with the subject matter responsibly and in context.". As you can see the allegations that Dispatches misrepresented muslims or were inciting racial hatred as amazingly alleged by the police were without substance.

One shouldn't be misled into thinking that Undercover mosque was the only documentary of its kind. there was another similar program by the Panorama of BBC in 2004 and found the exact same thing: preaching of pure and unadulterated hatred. Even Dispatches went back in Undercover Mosque the Return to find NO changes were made with regard to the objectionable material being distributed and taught to muslims. This despite the assurances of the same mosques and muslim organizations that they would clampdown on extremism.

I disagree with just about everything said by those shiikhs. Just take for instance the misogynistic assertion that women are deficient in intellect. Or the homosexuals are dirty pigs that should be murdered or as some other shiikh said thrown off a mountain. Thats the thing you dont seem to understand though, we muslims believe the penalty for homosexuality is death. Majority of muslims agree with everything those sheiks said but some of us just believe the timing and place wasnt right.
