However, it will not happen in even hundreds of millenia, probably millions and unfortunately our planning horizon do not go beyond the next year.
saxib, millenia? come on, who really knows how old this world is, or at the pace great developments go, it's upto Allah, and most surely, it will happen, since it was Allah that seperated the tectonic plates hundreds of years ago(**not millions like the kufaars suggest), according to our Islamic teachings all the plates were once one, and the Israilites prayed to God to make distance greater between places, and they got their wish......so to think about it, the Israilites were like yesterday, not even 7,000 years ago, so if this phenomenon is going to take place, i really do not see it taking more thatn 200 years, maybe even less, just one big earth quake(God Forbide any big casualties), but already there are tremors in the Afar Triangle which is squeezed between Eritrea--Djibouti--and Ethiopia...and even in awdal region around Boroma..so the question is, what are the benefits?
and when Somalia becomes an Island similar to Madagascar, we will have coastline surrounding the entire land, from Jigjiga, to Gode, to Luuq, to Aluula and ofcourse Kismaayo!
what changes will happen in terms of our development, movements, and economic and social development?
I was always interested to see this aspect of geography from islamic prespectives and I agree most of the stuff wetern scientists say is not probably true, however, because of the limited research conducted on these issues from islamic prespective leaves with nothing to counter to what the western prespective is telling us (blame to muslim countries for not producing good scientific research as we once did).
Should Somalia become an island itself (incorporating most of NFD and Ogaden), even be in in the next 200 years, yaaba helli kara sxb, Somalis in my view are brother and sisters, there is more that combines us then divides us this reminds me of a song that used to come on the radio when I was growing up;
Soomalidu waa mid qudha
Sowraca sinjiga iyo afkuba
Diin kala soocsoocantiyo
soohdimo kala celinaayiyo
malaha waxay isku diidaan
Simply put, give it 10 years for this new somali island and you will heard a new super power has made it's debut, The Islamic Republic of Somalia........
btw; I like your user-name, I was once I camel-herder albeit being a short period and I am glad to say the skills I have learned were invaluable for my later life.......Nomad all the way...
