Little drops of mercy..

Post by Firefly »

Asalaamu Alaikum all,

When the rain falls on a land which is properly cultivated, seeds have been sown into it, and it has been thoroughly cared and looked after then the rain will be a blessing for it. By giving rise to beautiful plants and vegetation, making it ever greener, with resurgence of flowering, and blessings for creatures dependent on it.

Similarly, if the same rain falls on a piece of land that is uncultivated or barren, with no seed sown in it, and no one looking after it. That same rain will be useless for it. If anything it will lead to nothing but disease and erosion. The rain will simply run off the surface like the flood and evaporate, and the land will return to its previous state of being barren, destitute and useless.

Faith is the seed, and the rain is Qur'an, which will be a blessing. Benefit upon benefit. Mercy of the Creator upon His Creation.

Allah (SWT) says in the Quran:

"He causes many to err by it (Quran) and many He leads aright by it! but He does not cause to err by it (any) except those who forsake (the path of God) " (Quran 2:26)

Without the seed of the Faith, fertilizer of sincerity, and care of the gardener of the self, the benefits and blessings of Qur'an cannot be obtained.

Allah (SWT) says right in the beginning of the Quran:

"This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who have Taqwa (God Consciousness)" (Quran 2:1)

The Qur'an is like that of rain - it allows those with the potential and desire to grow, to do so.

Rain being a mercy from Allah (swt), there's nothing better than feeling raindrops on your face! Little drops of mercy!
