Kids say the darnest things

Last week, I picked up my neice after school so she can pick her motherds day gift for her mom...(she actually called me to asked to make the arrangment)
We went to a few different stores...let her look around for somethign her mother might like...and she got stuck on one thing...so I baught it, got it wrapped.

On our way home, she said "nalia...I wanna ask you something"
and I said "sure baby, what is it?"
She said "why do you always love me?"

My heart sank when she asked me that...

I went into the nearest parking spot and parked the car.

Turned around (cause shes' in a car seat) and I said to her

"munshakin...I wil always love you..no matter what and dont you ever forget that"

and she smiled and said "I will always love you munshakin "
and she only says haberyer to me when shes' trying to be sweet....

She's 5 years old....

I love my neices and nephews. I have a nephew (zaki) he is the smartest kid ever...I steal him for a week every summer and he just tells me the craziest stories

I asked my neice one day
"what do you think love is?"
and she looked at me and shook her head

"It gives me a headache to think about that stuff. I'm just a kid. I don't need that kind of trouble."


I laughed so hard!
