SL tips off Ethiopia, Ethiopia talks down Puntland

Listen guys, this is nothing to do with naagayn. Somaliland is a country with proper functions and protocols. Puntland is a melitia dominated enclave with no regard for international rule or law. Puntland voilated not only Somaliland's territory but also Ethiopia's soveriegnty by illegally using Ethiopian land as a launching pad for its troublemaking endevours in Buuhoodle.

There is a security relations between Somaliland and Ethiopia and Somaliland has invoked that security-pack to call on Ethiopia to stop Puntland from using its land. Because failure for Ethiopia to doing so would enable Somaliland to allow anti-Ethiopian forces to operate freely within our borders too. So in essense the security relations between SL and Ethio as has been demonstrated here works for both ways.

As African Union (AU) accepts only colonial-era political border. Current Somaliland border was demarcated during colonial-era even before Somalia border was drawn. Somaliland had clear and well marked border before many Africans had. British Somaliland and Italian Somaliland joined without agreement to delimit colonial border, which gives Somaliland full rights to reclaim its pre-independence border.

Current border of Somaliland was marked more then a century ago and recognized by UN and AU. Somaliland was the fourth African state to gain independence in 1960 and more than 34 countries around the world recognized and welcomed as independent country with current defined border with Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen and Djibouti but unfortunately Somalilanders merged with Italian Somaliland in a last ditch attempt to save the failed hypothesis of Greater Somalia, which destabilized the region and did not last long due its forged origin.
