Grants, Fellowships, Scholarships, Work-study, etc.

Post by Kolombo »

Are you currently doing a work-study on your campus through your FAFSA?

Are you receiving any Graduate grants or fellowships?

Have you gotten any merit or sports scholarship offers?

Do you receive any State grants like NY state's TAP and GA's Hope in addition to your Pell grants?

Are you part of any minority or disadvantaged family financial program in your school?

Do you take Stafford & Perkins loans?

This is a forum, so we might as well exchange useful information.

I remember getting FSEOG (Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant) when I was in school, around $1200 per year. Do they still offer that?

I used to get Hope scholarship when I went to UGA along with Pell & FSEOG.

Now I'm prowling for Graduate grants & fellowships. There are decent fellowships offered throughing research and being a TA.

Even RA's on campuses score free room & board.

I get nearly £3000 in a form of a grant from the governement.
I recieved a bursary for £4000 for getting my expected grades ...then I got a further £2000 from the university, for no real reason

Plus tuition fees are only £3000....So i get £6000 to spend on whatever!
Gotta love free money :)

Ms.Erudite:-Aren't the bursaries £3000? I got scholarship for £2000, and they gave me a further £1000. Funny thing is, I still took loans, but they'll be waivered, so it's all good.

My tuition fees are only £1200. They increased it to £3000 in 2006.

snoop12:- She said she got them for her expected grades, I think she's referring to scholarships. Bursaries are not depended on grades. I made a mistake by adding an extra '0' it's actually £300 for bursaries - and it's for books etc.
