You have to have been there. In 1967 there were three buildings and somebody's pet ostrich. They did have gas. No fruit trees, but the smell was overwhelming. We couldn't stand the water so we drank Aranchatas at five shillings a pop.

I think Iskushubaan means it pours itself out, or gushes forth. I always think of a spring.
