Politicaly speaking no one done what Siyad Barre done for Somalia. He made Somalia a powerhouse in Somalia.

I can never side with an individual who doesn't rule by the law Of ALLAH. And that is why I reckon Somalia's best leader is still to come.

But at Siyad Barre's time as president he was the best for the Job out of all the other possible candidates. Africans only learn the hard way and Barre had to establish a great nation and the Only way he could possibly achieve this was by not allowing traitors to take over the nation.

Make you choice a nationalist dictator of a Proxy Dictator.........The answer depends on your thinking.

There were no religious men contesting for the position of Presidency......only russian and italian educated men....educated in Military School.......and the best of all was Siyad Barre
