Most of her novels start of pretty slow. Don’t give up though. P&P is positively romantic, hilarious and witty.

Always Say Less than Necessary

Even if you are saying something banal, it will seem original if you make it vague, open-ended, and sphinxlike. Powerful people impress and intimidate by saying less. The more you say, the more likely you are to say something foolish.

Any momentary triumph you think gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory: The resentment and ill will you stir up is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion. He has a later book called 33 Strategies of War, I'll pick that book up soon.

That’s something you’re going to come across a lot if you bother reading the classics. Keep in mind these books were written well before photography and cinema as well as when most people never traveled more than a few miles from where they were born so long explanations and use of imagery was extremely important when writing a novel.

I have a good childhood memories of a small town called Leego (between xamar and Baidhabo) Man was it beautiful when it has rain.
