language of paradise?

Post by toby »

assalamu allykum

who knows what language that will be spoken in jannaa(paradise)?

and bring your proof of what you say with you a verse in the quran or a hadeeth inshallah.

And say not concerning that which your tongues put forth falsely: "This is lawful and this is forbidden," so as to invent lies against Allaah. Verily, those who invent lies against Allaah will never prosper. (An-Nahl 16:116)

Arabic

It was narrated by al-Tabaraani in al-Awsat, al-Haakim, al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan and others that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Love the Arabs for three reasons, because I am an Arab, the Qur’aan is Arabic and the speech of the people of Paradise is Arabic."

Arabic-this is the hadith i've heard of before
Ibn Abbas narrates that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam said :
"Love the Arabs for 3 things :
1. because I am an Arab,
2. the Quran is in Arabic and
3. the language of the people of jannat is Arabic." (Baihaqi in Shuabul Iman.)

but some people dont agree with this statement because of the weakness of the hadith

On the authority of Aboo Hurayrah (radhiyallaahu 'anhu), the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe
wa sallam) said:

"I am an 'Arab, the Qur'aan is in 'Arabic, and the language of the people of Paradise is
'Arabic."

This narration was collected by At-Tabaraanee in Al-Mu'jam Al-Awsat (2/285). Al-Albaanee called it mawdhoo' (fabricated) in
Silsilatul-Ahaadeethid-Dha'eefah (#161).
* * * * *

Ibn al-Jawzi ruled that this hadeeth is fabricated. Al-Dhahabi said: I think that the hadeeth is fabricated (mawdoo’). Al-Albaani said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (no. 160): (it is) fabricated.

AS IBN TAYMIYA SAID (MAY ALLAH HAVE MERCY UPON HIM) ;THAT ALLAH ( MAY HE BE EXALTED) HASN'T INFORMED US OF THE LANGUAGE OF PARADISE OR WHAT LANGUAGE WILL BE SPOKEN ON YAMUL QIYAMA NOR DID HIS MESSENGER SAL LAHU ALYHIM WASALAM.

THIS CAN BE FOUND IN Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (4/299)

Al-Albaani said in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah (no. 161): it is fabricated.

The point is that there is no saheeh evidence to show which language is spoken by the people of Paradise. Hence we should refrain from speaking about this issue and not indulge in it, and we should refer knowledge of the matter to Allaah (may He be exalted), and focus instead on issues that will lead to good deeds in this world.
