The Somali version of federalism fractures Somalia and makes it into a fiefdom for other countries

Absolutely not, but this tribal federalism is perverted as well. It has the seeds of its own downfall.

Well since its your fault they were running away from AY and his ethoipians its only right you should let them get a break in your so called land. What I'm saying is its a bit unfair how you have the second post in the Sharif government that has no jurisdiction in Puntland or Somaliland. The Sharif government if it succeeded would have been able to preside over Hawiye lands so what is the point of a majerteen number two..

sheikh farax..a united states model is best way because ppl can remain in their region and benefiting their region for their ppl..what will central government in hamar know is happening in caluula...only the ppl that live there will know and who else better to manage their affairs then locals who understand them. Not some sheikh in hamar who hasnt ever lived there.

Federal model will ensure competition between states..it will ensure states are not neglected like that was the case of the past..my father met my mother in hamar because he had to go there when he was 15....do u think we can go back to that again? it is disastrous model..galbeed and south was heavily invested in sxb..they left our regions a waste land..xaq illahi taas ma ahayn iyo dhib dambe baxar kaas lagu ma noqon karo or we are DOUBLE STUPID..that is why federalism works well..it dont benefit just us but everyone in somalia

A United States model of federalism would work but this Somali version of semi autonomous states will not.

All semi autonomous states must be destroyed and federalism will be implemented in the 18 regions.

You dont understand that with strong recognized laws that respect foreign investments all our ppl will rely upon will be what we can provide for them. Puntland is the luckiest as we seen foreign investments but we want to see more of it because these foreign investments can invest billions of dollars to change the landscape and build key infrastructure that the diaspora can not.

But these foreign companies need assurance of recognized laws that the world respects...without that they wont bother...i know i wouldnt put billions of dollars in a region where the laws in that land noone in the world acknowledges...if the world doesnt acknowledge it u are cut from the big $$$$ investments.

That is why we its in our interest to solve our problems or just remain living of diaspora money...wake up ppl

and thats where Mogadishu comes in and its the same ol' tired mantra and it rings true

whether thats tomorrow or another 20 years, thats what the world looks at first when they look at Somalia

no government = no stability = no uniformity = no foreign investments and no further development besides remittance money and the lone few somalis who engage in private businesses there
