So it would seem SSDF's 1st Leader was isaaq / Habar-awal ... Khalid adaa Historian iska dhigee  bal noo sheeg who this guy Mr Mustafa haji Nuur..??

The SSF fused with two socialist movements (Somali Workers Party) and the Somali Democratic Liberation Front to become the Somali Salvation Democratic Front (SSDF). The SSDF’s first leader, Mustafa Haji Nur, was later replaced by Colonel Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed. During his leadership of the SSDF and under the protection of Ethiopia’s tyrant President Mengistu Haile Mariam, Colonel Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed progressively imprisoned, tortured and murdered his political opponents. Among those killed on his direct orders were Abdirahman Aidid, Ikar Haji Mohamed Hussein and his own brother-in-law Dr Abdulkadir Iridyanbo.

Mustafe Xaajo Nuur (RIP) was well known BBC broadcaster. He died in London in 1984.

I didn't know he was the first chairman of the SSDF.
