I can cook some moroccan food. But since my mom is somali...and I hang out with my somali cousins alot..I can make better somali food...I also like to make italian and oh I love bbq-ing.

I can cook some moroccan food. But since my mom is somali...and I hang out with my somali cousins alot..I can make better somali food...I also like to make italian and oh I love bbq-ing.
Anybody can do that. Just put on a high pitched voice and rattle off a hundred words a second :lol:

Somali food? Bariis, basto and hilib is all we have :lol:

theres muufo, anjeero, suugo, dalac-bilaash, bear (I hate this btw), muqmad/ontkac, suqaar, dolsho(cake),
theres lots of somali foods...but some people dont like veriety.

Bear is an acquired taste. Get used to it and you'll love it :up:

True, we're not big on variety. Go to any Somali maqayad and ask what they have. I guarantee the only thing they'll say is "bariis, basto, hilib and 'federation' (basically all three mixed together).

I heard my aunt say this once at a somali restraunt. So a few weeks later...i went with my cousin and friend and asked for a 'confederation'
my friend, cousin and the waitor fell on the floor laughing.
At first I didnt know what was so funny i was lik :|

then the waitor was like 'abay waa federation'
I was like :x

I see..so can you make jabati (sabayad) that is one of my favorite Somali food..sabayad with maraq..it taste good.. :up:
