Two soldiers registered in the Somali government of national unity have on Monday at around 12:15pm local time apparently opened fire at each other at the famous KM4 intersection in the heart of the Somali capital Mogadishu.

“The two squabbled over a cell phone hours before they opened fire at each other, and they were taken to the Criminal Investigation Department and the cell phone was given to one of them, and the other pretended that he was contented with the judgment carried by one of the C.I.D officer and they were told to shake hands before they were set free and instantly after they went out of the C.I.D premises they unsaved their guns and each of them held the trigger in order to kill the other and simultaneously each one of them opened fire at the other not caring who is standing next to the other the two were rushed to hospital but unfortunately they have died on the way” said a colleague to deceased soldiers speaking to Somaliweyn radio.

The witness fellow soldier also added that the fire opened by his comrades killed a taxi driver in the vicinity and wounding two others.

The combat between solders registered in the Somali government is recently something of day-to-day action.

It was only on Wednesday last week when a deadly battle which was in action for more than an hour occurred between government soldiers at km5 intersection.
