As I have mentioned, due to the lack of clear clarity in the futah al-habasha as to the origins of Axmed-Gurey we must also use our own genealogical facts to connect the remaining dots. Numerous points were presented using the genealogy of the Marexaan for Axmed-Gurey and the information presented on the book futah al-xabasha. Some of them being:

The books mentioning Axmed-Gurey's father being Garad-Ibrahim
This is the genealogy of the Marexaan for Axmed-Gurey and Amir Nuur

Axmed-Garad Ibrahim- Mataan-Ciis (individuals trace their genealogy like this who belong to this sub-clan "reer-garaad")
Nuur-Yusef-Mataan Ciis

Ahmed-gurey was reer-garaad..the garaad is a surname...reer-garaad waxey ka farcameen Ibrahim Mataan Ciis oo Garaad aha and so they took that name. Axmed gurey was the son of Ibrahim Mataan Ciis just like how the book says.


New-yrk. Anyone can claim them, but I have yet to see any qabiil and person who claims to be his offspring that can fit him in their genealogy.

The Book says Axmed-Gureys father was a Garaad Ibrahim.

The Reer-Garaad decedents of Axmed-Gurey abtiriskooda waa Axmed Garaad-Ibraam Mataan.

The book informs us of the kinship between Axmed-gurey and Amir Nuur.

Amir Nuur's offsprings trace their lineage as Nuur-Yusef-Mataan.

The Emir of Somalis at the time was Hiiraabe as the book mentions.

Hiiraabe waa Hiiraabe Mataan Ciis.

All these men are mentioned in the book and lived the same time. Marexaan say's they are Marexaan and they fit perfectly into the genealogy of Marexaan.

The book states that Amir-Nuur married the widow of Axmed-Gurey.

Today the offspring of Amir Nuur and offspring of Axmed-Gurey share the mag and qaaraan because waa isku bah.
