Highland. how come ilkajiir could not win the predisency. he was the front runner with most supporters inclusing abdulahi yusuf. i gues MJs will never let dhulod or warsangari to take the lead. it's time for guys to bring back maakhir state and leave puntos alone.

Kuush, brother I'll post an old English article which sheds more light on this issue of Maakhir and its failure to materialize.

Reer Sool and Cayn have already seceded from PL. The guys appointed by Faroole are only figureheads with no base or power. They are there to fill their pockets.

Now, it's Warsangeli who is keeping this entity intact. But it's better to form their own administration than be with a major rival eyeing your resources and base.

Highland are you sure when you say. that puntland doesn't rule all sanaag except maydh, erigavo and el-afweyn? On top of that they have no power or base the warsangeli in puntland? So why are your officials in badhan, las qoray, dhahar, etc all puntland based? There is no makhir in sanaag, it is just an internet phenomenen and that's it. Tell me who is the mayor of makhir today? where does he rule? where is makhir parliament? sxb ayarta iska daa, wax idin ma tareyso.

Harti stick together in the jubba and they will stick together in the north!!! as for ilkajir losing, he lost because farole was better man on the day. Even though ilkajir is well respected man in puntland, so don't try to turn this into a qabil politics. The best man wins in puntland!!!

But i tell u right now i am certain puntland would support a makhir and darwishland under a federal model with puntland. However their would be three points that must be agreed upon.

1. Have a nato style pact-agreement, if makhir is attacked, we all must send troops to defend makhir and vice versa. If puntland is attacked, makhir and darwish need to send their boys.
2. We must stand all together upon the federal somaliya model and no seccession crap
3. Economic arrangement of resources of oil in sool, nugaal, bari must be done under 1 company and whatever is taken from sool given to sool and whatever is taken from nugaal and bari given to that specific region. Their must be agreements with makhir on any economic expedition they venture they consult their allies puntland and darwishland to see if it is in the best interest of harti.

If that was sorted out and i am sure some other fine details, puntland would support makhir and darwishland creation. However makhir is dead now, so it's pointless talking about something that will never occur!!! makhir=puntland today and it will remain that way for years to come!!!
