I tell you what, when you have leaders like Hugo Chavez, Ahmedinajad and Gaddafi running around wild uncensored, we gonna have World War 3 soon. The last time we had three leaders like them there was World War I & II.

But then again, I kind feel proud to hear them, I mean when is the last time we had leaders this brazen and outspoken against UN and US? standing up -saying what is on their mind, not in the last 75yrs.

Dude, I found the whole thing quite fascinating, actually. I mean Qadhafi seemed a little all over the place. Making his point, and some good ones nonetheless, but I had a hard time following where he was going with the whole thing. And that Arabic translator, oh God , wasnt helping either. I began watching the first few mins turning into um...the first hour or so. lol. He kept messing with his handwritten notes in these huuge arabic letters, and kept correcting himself. I doubt he was nervous, maybe he was gettting really senile or something. Anyway, enough clowning.

I liked his "we are not equal with all the other nations in the UN, so therefore we won't acknowledge the charter" points. It is true. This is something many other leaders don't even dare to mention when they come to these yearly events. Not every one is equal. Rid of the vetopowers. Besides, he made strong connections of how The southen hemisphere shouldn't adhere to the rules while the first world, or northern hemisphere, breaks all the rules. If only he would keep it short and sweet and not get into stupid stuff about the Kennedy assassinations and other domestic issues, it would have been a pretty awesome speech. Ah well.

The guy may be unprofessional and some what weird but he talks real, he talks from the heart, while other leaders have some professional speech writer write for them a politically correct speech, Gadafi don't give a puck, he says what he thinks.

You do realise that his government has locked up hundreds of Somalis without charge or even attempting to deport them.

The man was a hero but the last forty years have turned him into a senile dictator that is (mostly) hated by his people and the world. He rants and rants but his actions always show him to be no better than the Arab leaders he criticises. This man, after all, was the first Arab leader to fold and open up his chemical weapon stores the minute America invaded Iraq. Ever since, he's been kow towing to the West ever since. His dictatorial tendencies do not end there. The man suggested (and I think he meant it) that Obama stay president for ever!

Chavez himself is not an angle. The guy keeps adjusting the constitution so that he's allowed to run again and again and get voted in again and again. He is running his country well for now but a dictator he remains.

Still, it was indeed a funny speech.
