Ina Yeey also as you know without any outside support was able to cross the country and had traveled to Jowhar [his base as temporary capital] to Beledwyene, Galkacyu, , Garowe, Bossaso and then moved to Baidoa. This is without the Ethiopians and no one could do anything to him.

The Ethiopian, and AMISOM entry was due to the military prowess and confidence these countries had in Yusuf strategy. Unfortunately the NGO’s and the raving clannish fear of a strong Somalia coupled with the illness of the former President hampered the completion of the grand strategy. However Yusuf did crush the Eritrean, ONFL, OLF, and Foreign Jihadi’s armies, captured Mogadishu, and exiled all the leaders of these groups.

Today is a different story, there is a strong Ethiopian presence still in Hiiraan, AMISOM is shelling the bakarah and Mr Hotel is unable to even reach Jowhar after 9 months of having money and military support of the worlds most powerful country.

The guys controls none of the 18 Regions that make up Somalia, support is earned and not just given away.

ps: Sharif Hotle's Government has survived the Last nine months in Mogadishu due to A/Y bringing in AU troops to Somalia a few years back. The Government is still living off the Political choices made by it's precedsor.

Sharif has gotten a bigger welcome and reception that Afbiijo could ever dream of.

First and for most Yusuf never visited MN even though the local's asked him serveral times to come. But I am pretty sure the Population control police would have been called him to help out if A/Y would have ever visited MN.

And if you like we can compare the reception A/Y gone in D.C to that of Sharif Hotel and I tell you Pictures speak for themselves.

People went out of their way and even visited the legend in New York back in the days something Sharif Hotel didn't see.
