What about sanjabiil & a dash of salt? I remember growing up in Somalia, people used to put a little bit of salt or lemon in the tea. Never understood why.

We never make Isku dax karis in my family. My mum doesn't like it, and she never cooks that way.
A meal with my family would consist of:
1) Rice cooked on its own
2) Meat cooked on its own
3) Vegatables cooked on its own
4) Spinach (sometimes) but if cooked, on its own
Oh, and to complete that lovely meal, we'd eat it with Moos and if anyone bothers themselves Ansalato!
