Heard about this from a SSCer who was very happy about Galmudug support

Abdiwahab, Bit of topic but I want to know why in all of shariif's time in office he hasn't once thought to recruit a somali military from all the peaceful regions in somalia, wouldn't that be his priority if he wants to oust shabab?

Cumar,

It boils down to money. Very little has made its way for security forces. If he could guarantee $200/month to his soldiers, he could recruit 15,000 men in days.

The Shabab are pretty much routed out of Central Somalia: Galgaduud, Mudug, and Hiiraan by the Ahlu Sunnah forces.

I understand, so then where are shabab getting the money to recruit soldiers or are they paying them by offering them wives.
