ps why are you ashemed of your age? Eventually we all going to hit 30's then 40's then 50's
Hanad: you making the USC sound all good dandy, i personally remember a sheick neighbour of ours who was disabled from the waist down getting his head cut off.
was he soldier? NO
was he part of the war? No
But the animals beheaded him for qabiil reasons and they placed his head right infront of our house.
Ps Nabeela just pointed out the facts why get all worked up?
The lady in question played big part in the civil war which is a fact no one can deny.
She was qabiil driven and it eventually ruined her name.
Hanad GTFO....she provided motivation to keep on killing all the way to the border of Kenya singing songs, matter fact her group were getting ready to execute my grandfather and two uncles in beledxaawo before being ambushed by local militia where my awoowe and abtiyaal escaped. With that said, Ilaahey ha una xariisto and snet really need to leave the dead alone.
To understand Magool (aun) means understanding her career and what kind of artist she was.
She became very famoust because of her beautiful voice, and after fame she sang many nationalist songs that were played for the Somali soldiers during 77 War with Ethiopia. ''Maanta Maanta, Waa Maalin Weyn'' and ''Dhulka sow ani ma lihi'' were one of her famoust nationalist songs. She was an emotional woman, who would use her voice and talent for nationalist purposes.
Fast foward to 1990, when the Republic was torn apart by the oppressive dictator who sowed animosity and deep mistrust amongst Somalis...the lines were drawn and hell would break lose, everyone assumed his/her position and the Dictator knew hell would break loose. Magool was amongst the many who opposed the dictator.
When hell broke loose and the dictator ran away in a tank leaving behind a city geared towards bloodshed, Magool rallied behind the strongman Gen.Aideed who was leading the war against the Dictator.
What she did post-1991 was not different than what she did in 1977: singing for those who she supported in the war. In 1977, when the nation was united and everybody rallied behind the Somali National Army, she sang for the brave Somali soldiers who fought the Ethiopian army. In 1991, when the nation was divided and every clan became united, she rallied behind Somali National Alliance (Gen.Aideed's USC-faction) in his war against the widely despised Dictator.
Understanding Magool (aun) means understanding the context she lived in.
ive never seen people who hate their lives so much than the Hutus
whenever i read whats happening in Mogadishu ama meesha hawiyaha degaan. why do they act like their life means nothing? 50 day everyday and life goes on. maalinkasta nin la qowracay ayaa laga helaya xaafada muqdisho. people walk like its nothing
this what happens when Uve been living in a hell hole for 20 years
