Hard working southerners? The only people who work hard in the south are the blacks. The plantations, the cotton, to now Black labor is what the south was built on. As for those biggest cities, most of them are majority black or black affiliated cities. Atlanta, Birmingham, Charleston, Jackson, etc...40 years ago Blacks were being cannon hosed and dogs tearing little kids to pieces in the street but today even Jackson, Mississippi home of the KKK has a black mayor.
