Houthi fighters in Yemen say Saudi warplanes have pounded residential areas north of the country, killing several women and children.

The fighters said on Tuesday that the Saudi warplanes carried out several bombings in restive Al-Ammar district in the beleaguered north.

The Houthis have also released new footage of Saudi firearms and ammunition they seized during the clashes along the border.

Using heavy artillery, tanks and jet fighters, the Saudi army continues its offensive on villages in northwest Yemen.

The fighters earlier said that Saudi forces use unconventional weapons including toxic materials and phosphorous bombs against civilians.

Saudi Arabia launched its deadly offensive against Houthis on November 4 amid a Yemeni government crackdown on the fighters in the mountainous north.

Riyadh says the air strikes and shelling will continue until the fighters withdraw dozens of kilometers from the Saudi-Yemeni border.

The offensive has so far killed scores of civilians and left thousands displaced from their homes.

The Houthi fighters brought this one one themselves. They had six peace deals with Yemen and went back on them all. When they got pinned back in their mountains, they decided to drag Saudi Arabia into the conflict and make it a regional problem. Heck, even South Yemen had to clam down and supress its own independence cries when it saw the madness of these Houthis.
