Sweden to help victims of Mogadishu bombing

Shabelle: SOMALIA
NAIROBI (Sh. M. Network) - Sweden announced on Wednesday that it will contribute $186,000 to provide medical care for the people injured in the suicide bombing in Mogadishu on December 3.

Swedish minister for International Development Cooperation Gunilla Carlsson said that he was deeply shocked to hear about another attack in Somalia targeting civilians and government officials.

“The Swedish contribution is an expression of solidarity with those who are trying to promote peace, reconciliation and development in this war-torn country," he said in a press release issued in Nairobi.

Some of the victims are recuperating at the Agha Khan hospital in Nairobi.

The attack occurred in Mogadishu at a university graduation ceremony for medical students attended by hundreds of people.

The attack killed more than twenty people, including several government ministers, journalists, students, teachers and other innocent people.

More than fifty people were injured, and about 18 of these so seriously that they are in acute need of medical care that is not available in Somalia.

The UN has undertaken to coordinate the international community’s support to those affected.

The EU and the UN have both condemned the attack. The international community is continuing its efforts to support a peaceful solution to the conflict in Somalia within the framework of the Djibouti Process.

Why blame ina Baxar, you are a lax plain and simple. Saudi Arabia has already taken all the serious injured including the lone surviving minister.

Cheerleading are we? If you read properly what I wrote then you would see that I did say anything about him in my post, unless ofcourse he is a saudi arabian which I doubt very much. He then insulted my mother in a filthy post which was taken out by the moderators. Inabaxar has a stroke everytime I mention something about arabs. But what the homosexually promiscuous french nurse seems to not understand is that; the very arabs that he has an orgasm over dont give two shits about him and that he is a somali who is about as arab as a vietnamese. I dont know why you are talking to me, and I dont really care. Please go back to wrtiting your boring, self-hating, Prima donna tirades about "camel-shagging" somalis, all the while forgetting you yourself are one. But can you please mind your own business, especially when you have no idea what has gone on.

I don't typically agree with ina Baxar but he has a point concerning you.
