It's just 2x if you get Oromo which is most likely.
Only roughly 15 to 20% of the Somalis previously tested by genetists came out to have Middle Eastern Y-chromosomes.

There is nothing specifically ‘Oromo’ about E3b1 which is carried by 80% of the Somali males. Even most Moroccans (70%) and a lot of Greeks/Egyptians (30%) have it.

I think the doubling is a bit unfair considering the high risk of E3b1, let's make it 50$.

And what exactly is oromo genes? Do you mean the E3b1 y dna haplogroup? That isnt an oromo gene. That is found in te whole of the horn of africa. If anything it is a somali gene, since we have it the most frequently. And just because you have a percentage of the J haplogroup it doesnt qualify you as an arab, otherwise afghans, pakis, iranians, kurds etc are all arabs.
You can have a small percentage of J and a large portion of E3b1, what would that make you? "Arab"? "Oromo"? Dont make me laugh.

War, I know it isn't an 'Oromo gene'. It's found in the f-king Balkans, I'm saying it's likely that you're of direct Oromo descent if you get e1b1b. It isn't a 'Somali' gene, they did a selective test on diaspora members probably from the same clan. To get real statistics you'd need to do a regional/clan-based test. I heard the test the current stats are based on was done mostly on Eelay in Sweden.

J2 is solely Arab.

Now, let's get started finding a kit. I'm only come across paternity tests, these things are hard to find.

Middle Easterners all came from one single group of people that left Africa thousands of years a go, so this makes absolute sense.

For a Somali (African) carrying 'J' means one thing = Middle Eastern ancestors, for Pakis and stuff it is just native

LOL@ this, ignorant !

You can only have ONE Y-chromosome haplogroup, 100%. You can’t have a mix, or else you have several fathers!

Risk isn't that high, but we'll go with a majority vote  $50 bucks is a pittance it doesn't even cover the cost of the kit. Minimum should be the price of the kit.

Dir is excluded from this experiment.

We are looking for people from clans who claim to be descendants from Arabs (Isaaq, Darood, Carab Salaax etc)

130 dollars, but they no longer offer it. Something in that vein is what we're looking for.

One per kit, though. So you'd have to purchase two. It looks fine, only qualm is 8 weeks to get the results back.
