Your right we have all lost family members during the civil war, I don't value one life over another because were all equal but I can never over look the fact when someone in the military carries out or orders the deaths of his own people based on clannish ideologies.
I for one would not mind if all the people who participated in killing a human being based on qabiil were held accountable regardless of whatever qabiil they belong to, unfortunately that will never happen because as Somalis we will defend even a rapist if a supposed enemy clan is after him its a sad reality.

Bro if the case against him can be proven beyond reasonable doubt, I will support his prosecution. Again Allah knows all.

I find it interesting that the Isaaq continue to chase after a man like Cali Samatar; who doesn't hail from any major clan, who was never in any position to make unilateral decisions but only served as a ceremonial figure, who has repented and went on BBC a few years ago to ask for forgiveness, who is a regular member at his local Masjida and has kept away from his old life. But on the other hand, the Isaaq choose as leaders known NSS men and former government foot-soldiers who carried out many crimes against them. Why? Because they're all Isaaq/Samaroon, so it becomes acceptable to "forgive and forget" in this case.

f-king hypocrites, you ain't foolin' no one.

Your right Allahu A3lam.

Koronto

If Riyaale is guilty of those crimes he deserves to be punished and if he was hung today trust me nobody but his family would lose sleep over it.
You should be worrying about how your going to help your people and land rid themselves from Meles saaxiib, you shouldn't worry about whose leading Somaliland.

Samatr,

If I see hypocrisy, I'll call it out, homeboy. Lol@if Riyaale is guilty. Thanks for proving my point there. Qabyaalad runs in our blood, and if Cali Samatr was nin duriyada ah, I got $100 that says nobody would go after him, let alone pursue him in an international context.

Riyaale is not Isaaq so why is he not subject to the same treat as Ali Samatar who isn't Isaaq either? Your theory is flawed. If Riyaale carried such atrocities it would be known Soomaalidu asxaan ma yaqaanaan he would have never made it to being a president of Somaliland, that's just my theory I could be wrong I was not there, bring me one article where there are people lining up to say Riyaale committed those crimes, well Ali Samatar has enough people ready to point the finger at him, that's the difference
Only in the internet you hear stuff like Riyaale was this and that, even if he did commit those crimes would you not think a General is more accountable than a measly NSS chief, correct me if I am wrong but Generals give out orders and soldiers follow them that's how it works in almost every nation.
calaa kulli xaal nothing me or you will say will make a difference, so lets not waste each others time, lets agree to disagree.

Samatr,

Riyaale's involvement in the former government is no secret, its common knowledge, yet he continues to rule your lands and gets away with it. I fail to see what prosecuting an 80 year old who has repented, renounced his past and is trying to spend his remaining days in a Masjid will do? Is it to make an example out of him? Why not the goon Riyaale? Its a blatant hypocrisy.

Let's agree to disagree sxb.

Blah Blah, this case has been going on for years and nothing is going to happen. At the end of the day, he will still be at his home in Virginia and nothing is going to happen.
