Question to my Oromo brothers
I want to ask a few questions about Oromos,OLF and the 20120 elections in Ethiopia
1) Do you support Oromia?
2) What land mass do OLF claim? Does it include Dire Dawa and Harar
3) Are Oromos going to be represented in 2010 elections? If so, what are the chances
4) Have you been to Ethiopia?
5) Is there any Ethnic tension in Ethiopia? I was reading about ethnic violence in University between Oromos and Tigrays
6) What is the % of Oromos are Muslims
7) What is the general census about Somalis from an Oromo viewpoint
Thanks in advance

I like reading about Ethiopian politics and Ethiopia. I find it much more interesting than Somali politics (warfare)

Re: Question to my Oromos brothers
Somali politics is way more interesting. At least new thugs arrive on the block every once in a while. In Ethiopia, the same thug crucifies the people for twenty to thirty years.

You follow Somali politics hoping that the country unites
You follow Ethiopian politics hoping that the country disintegrates

I hope the armies of Imam Ahmed "Gurey" Godane take back the Lands of Muslims who are illegally part of Ethiopia.Oxidant wrote:The difference isGaajoUnit wrote:Somali politics is way more interesting. 2)Lots of lands that even cross the ethiopian-somali boarder
joking
3) I think theres a certain umbrella party that hosts a bunch of other org's called medrek that just recently i heard it announced Afan oromo as the second language in ethiopia. I myself dont read too much into this and am almost 100 percent sure meles will be "re-elected".
4)yes from there.
5)Theres always ethnic tensions in ethiopia.
6)i think without looking it up its like somewhere around 40-45% but i think its more like over 60%. The christian numbers of Oromos and especially the pente numbers are deeply exaggerated, however american missionaries are trying very hard to aggressively evangelize Oromos and others and has caused several violent occurrences especially between Protestants and muslims.
7) Overally we regard yous as our distant cousins but still alot the times its similar to what alot of somalis regard us as. The internet is playing a bad role innit as well.
The internet should be a mutual ground where oromos and somalis could unite and shove differences aside and unite towards defeating the ethiopian government who commit crimes against us......but no what do we do?
We argue over who does dire dawa and babile belong to

How are they his people? I too hope Ethiopia disintegrates. It plays a huge role in the lawlessness in Somalia.Narcissistic wrote:Why would you wish that on you're people? My friend there is no more traces of oromo peoples in the North or what is known as Somaliland. That was a long time ago. There is no right of returnGara Man wrote:1) Yes of courseOxidant wrote:I want to ask a few questions about Oromos,OLF and the 20120 elections in Ethiopia

but it would be hard not to claim lands such as dire dawa and harar where we are the unquestionable majority.
