What was the beef between Ciidagale and Arap? I never quite understood it, I have a lot of Arap friends and whenever I ask them they dont want to talk about it

The ciidagalle used to Rule the Arab And opress them for Decades They used to cut off the ears of the arab, hence the name Arab Got Dhagjar . it was hard years for the arab under the ciidagalle rule.

The legand guy called nur dhago cun a warrior at the same time a poet was one of the key players of the Ciidagalle Glory days over the arab. The arab where submitted to pay Tax to Nur dhaga cun , The biggest poet the Arab had was Farax nur a brave man and he was murdered by the Ciidagalle and hanged on a tree In hargeisa.

It was long time ago Arab are brave People and are pure isaaqist Maxammad bin Sheikh isxaaq But this happened long time ago its started in the late 19 century , no hargeisa was found By Habarawal And its true they fought during the SNM didn’t we all the sultan of the arab Was the first sultan who crossed behind Ethiopian line and became a Mujaheed.

I don't think Sacad Muusa had yet immigrated to the Hargeisa area at that ime empy... neither do I actually believe the oppressing happening in Hargeisa..
must have been hawd inside Somaliland
Hargeisa was ' officially ' recognised as a provincial settlement by the british, at that time they met the Sultan of Ciidagale.
Before that the place was like Salaxley and all other small tuulos... it's because of the british and multi tribes moving in it flourished.
Such as Habar Awal merchants, Ogadeni livestock traders, foreign travellers, etc

Arap and Ciidagale came first to this unsettled lush valley some 250-300 years ago .
Sacad Muusa history of Hargeisa area is very young perhaps 100-150 years

If I'm not sure Ciidagale started east of Berbera, Sacad Muusa started around same area, and was once upon a time reer berbera clan .
But not to brag or make a useless point of out it or something, keep in mind Garhajis was the FIRST major clan of Isaaq to emigrate and go into warpaths
and Ciidagale is the older of the two.

This is not history to be proud about or even talk about .... if I recall it correct the Araps had done something which angrered local Ciidagale clans.

Digdahab habarawal always lived in ceelka xarraf while the ciidagalle lived in ceelka herer , back then there was no city of hargeisa it was called ceelka herer and ceelka xaraf.

How ever the refuge in Arab found the habarawal areas of hargeisa

I thought Berbera is cise muse clan territory or are the sacad muse there aswell?

It used to be a sacadmuse city 200 years ago the ciise muse moved there the last 80 years There are still sacadmuse subclans who still live there.
