His legacy got stuck in the 70s.

His political point view is unstable. I even asked him where he stands and he once told group of us that he was pro-Somaliland and his multiple interest of becoming the president of Somaliland, once in 93 and later in 2002, should speak volume. It kind a make sense but yet AGAIN one should wonder why he only comes to Somaliland when he’s running for an office. Because of that reason alone, his creditability of pure Lander is shot. For some strange reason, people LOVE this guy though!
Having said that, I would NOT compare him to Ismail Ali Abokor who was heavily involved in bringing Siyad Bare in to power and the coup against Cigal’s government in 1969, the only chance Somaliland had in order to gain large share of the pie. In 993, when Cigal (RIP) was appointed to lead Somaliland, he said in public forum that he forgive everyone who was from Somaliland and was involved or assisted in the coup of 69 against him EXCEPT Ismail Ali Abokor. Evidently, Ismail Ali Abokor stays away from the current Somaliland/Somalia political platform.
Whats the difference between those two above mentioned men and igaal. They were all serving afwyene in one capacity or another even when the SNM was up in arms in the late 80s. The only politicians who deserve respect are those who were SNM when it was unfashionable.
