Crying is not a male characteristic or so I thought untill my mother died, then I cried upon the realization that i won't see her anytime soon. Beyond that event, my eyes teared up when I saw a picture of Earth taken by Voyager-1 from a distance of 4 billion miles away, so tiny in space it looked like a twinkly star, so small of a planet compared to the vastness of the galaxy, holding all humanity and life as it were in it. If another planet collided with it, we are doomed instantly, but Allah in his infinite power, set the course of all planets so for them as to not come too close or collide with each other, precise mathematics, no room for errors, perfect and harmonious co-existence untill such time as Allah dooms everything.

Walahi,I only remember one time when i was listening to this wacdi.inta kale,BIG NO.only docile weak men cry like emotional 13 year old girls.

Depends on why people are crying for. There are some very emotional people who cry about almost everything and that's little freaky and makes people around them feel uncomfortable especially when they cry for some silly reasons that you can't really even console them.

Crying because fear of Allah is an amazing thing that purifies one's soul and carries great reward in Hereafter.

One of the seven who Allah will shade on Yawmal Qiyaama is someone who cries while remembering Allah when he is alone.

There are ahadiith about Prophet (scws) crying. Umar, who was more manly and masculine than all the men living today had dark streaks in his face because he used to cry so much, and when he was leading the prayer, people who were praying in the last row could hear him cry. When Abu Bakr was leading the prayer he cried so much that people couldn't hear him clearly.

Prophet (scws) said:

"Two (kinds of) eyes will not be touched by the Fire: an eye that wept out of fear of Allah and an eye that spent the night guarding in the cause of Allah (ribaat)." (At-Tirmidhi)

Walalo,If you like crying so much then that is ok with me,Laakin not for me.If there is a man who likes crying then that is his own problem.I agree that culture gives us specific gender roles and we are expected to abide by it in order to be accepted by the main society,how ever,Men have some kind of a deficiency in producing pools of tear like women do.!

I do cry a lot. I'm a pretty emotional person. Sometimes, I cry for no specific reason, ana islayaabo..then I stop and ask myself why I'm cryin'..but by then my reason for cryin' becomes that I don't even have a reason.. lol. It's strange..
