But what about the last sentence? Allah's protection? And we also know that the Prophet (saw) himself was an orphan. Who looked after him? None other than Allah SWT.

When I was a kid (and actually till today) I used to think that when something bad happend to me..that it was a punishment for something I have done...and when something good happend to me, it was never anything that I myself did ( I couldnt take any form of credit)...but something allah had ordained for me. Looking back now...its true what you said; when SOME bad things happen...theres a silver linning behind it.
