Thing is, AS are not one solid grouping where everyone agrees with ALL the ideas the group follows. Some would probably agree with you on the Osama point. Some would disagree. Some are only interested in Somalia and others have a greater Islamic goal. They're united today because the "enemy" is clear.GacanSareeye wrote:I support a Somali Islamic State, but not the one that is being unveiled by Shabaab where young adults are at helm with minimum knowledge, where Osama is hailed as another Nabi, People dedicate their deaths to people in Iraq and Afghanistan, where every other muslim is murtid, where political rivals and people with different opinions are haunted and lashed, they dont even have respect for the Somali culumo that taught them the religion. but i doubt if hardcore shabab supporters would welcome muslim armies, the only armies acceptable are al qaeda types and renegades. Shabab are still good for what the South had before, but i dont know if i want them to spread to other areas
Still, whatever happens, if AS do manage to control the whole of Somalia it is very unlikely that they'll follow the route everyone is expecting them to follow. Things are not what they seem, my friend. They'll break and fracture.
