When an ciyaalsuuq guy is sent back to Somalia to get married to some poor unsuspecting girl, do you think the girls family gives a shit what this guy has been up to in his past time? They are looking to cash in big time. Their girl is going to Europe and now they have another source of income for life.

They quickly do a risk/benefit analysis. And they'd rather have their $200 a month for life sent to them by their daughter & ciyaalsuuq husband [or ex-ciyaalsuuq].

so i guess it happens in both cases. parents to blame here. intay ciyaalkooda kala cararayaan xumaantay kujiraan bay another innocent person dusha kasaaraan. they think a person matures and becomes responsible if they marry them off to 'nice' person. that might be true. but if the person doesnt want to change is only so much you can do.
