aristokrat, i always thought of suicide as being the ultimate sacrafice, the i-dont-give-a-fock-i-will-blow-myself-in-my-teens kinda smack, but lately i have been thinking if its totally the opposite, of the most coward stance to end your life in such a vile way, or actually run to your grave before you can touch your enemies. to be so weakened that you can do nothing but scare your enemies to respect you and forgive. in xamar, twenty or more people die a day because of cowardice, because al fataaniin not dare storm the one building occupied by Amisom, but they rather throw a stone and get a rocket back to give the people the illusion that they are in a war. who wants a war that is one side dying slowly, and the other side standing.

Yh, man. Its straight-up cowardice. Turns out most of these suicide bombers are young men with disturbing past, most of them suffer from some sort of anxiety disorders or even manic depression, they have committed all sorts of sins/crimes, etc. They want a quick fix, instant gratification, one way ticket in to entering paradise without what you and I will have to do for our whole lives to attain it. The leaders of these groups have figured out the psyche of these young men, they marry them off to young women, pay for their weddings, promise to take care of their families and future children, shake their hand and send them off.

I'll believe suicide bombing is effective the day I see a Jihadi leader do it.

shirib my ultimate goal is to save every somali person alive and breathing. i want to call themt to islam through 'bil xikmah wal mowcidadil xasanah'. Al Fataaniin, are anithetical to that. I abhor their approach to governance, their forced suppression, their crude tactics, and their murtadization of the somali populace. 100% muslims does not mean one pure sect of islam. I believe the majority of the people in somalia want islamic governance, that is why the tfg has embrace and incorporated that mantel, but Al Fataaniin have a different agenda, and will balganzied and enclave the whole region in a never ending, bipolar, me-againts-the-west mentality that somalis neither has the time nor the resources for.
